February 12, 2011
Events leading to Evanston personal injury may come about at all times–expected or unexpected. Motorists losing consciousness behind the wheel of a vehicle may result in serious personal injuries. This sort of accident injuries cause mayhem in the life of the victims.
A Evanston motorist may have lost consciousness before crashing his van through the window of Evanston’s South Branch library, fire officials said.
The library was closed and vacant at the time of the accident, which occurred at about 3 p.m. Monday.
The driver possibly lost consciousness prior to the accident, according to fire Chief Greg Klaiber. Fire department spokesman Chief Tom Janetske did not have additional details on what could have caused the driver to lose consciousness or his current condition.
The driver was treated and transported to NorthShore University HealthSystems Evanston Hospital.
The library’s north-facing window was completely shattered, but the building is still structurally sound, Klaiber said.
